Gladys Martin Fulbright, 87, of Vale, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at
Trinity Ridge in Hickory.
Henry A. Howard, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Peak Resources Shelby. Born February 16, 1934 in Ponca City, OK to the late Glen D. Howard and Frances Warrell Howard. Henry moved to Shelby in 1957.
John Samuel Aldridge Jr, 61, of 138 Crestmont Drive, passed away Wednesday, May 30th, 2018, at his home.
Born in Charlotte, he was the husband of Tammy Patterson Aldridge and the son of the late John Samuel Aldridge Sr. and Lilly Pauline Johnson Aldridge. Mr. Aldridge formerly worked construction with SRE and AME and was a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Aldridge is survived by two sons, John S. Aldridge III and Eddie Aldridge; one daughter, Dana Aldridge; one step-daughter, Brandy Jean Muscatell; one step-son, Bradley Dewayne Crowe; three sisters, Joanne Vance and husband, Arnold, Joyce Rick, and Judy Hallman; and eleven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ray Douglas Aldridge.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Little Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. James Humphries and Rev. Jerry Wayne Patterson Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
The family will be at their respective homes.

Judy Kay Tesseneer, 68, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on May 30, 2018 at Caromont Health in Gastonia, NC.
Kenneth Edwin Rhoney, 79, of Vale, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at
Carolina Rehab Center of Burke in Connelly Springs after a period of
Mr. Rhoney was born August 2, 1938 in Cleveland County, a son of the late
Wilmur and Lottie Rhoney. He was part owner of K&K Cabinet Shop and a former
truck driver for Ideal transport for twenty years. He was also a member of
Beulah Baptist Church and had served in the Army National Guard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert
He is survived by his wife, Sue Evelyn Rhoney; two daughters, Donna Shull
and husband, Greg of Vale and Kim Carswell of Vale; grandchildren, Kendall
Shull, Holly Carswell, Ethan Carswell and wife Rebecca; his brothers and
sisters, Carolyn Ford of Charlotte, Jerry Rhoney of Vale, Keniethea McMahon
of Mint Hill and Cecil Rhoney of Vale and his beloved pet, Maggie Mud Pie.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Beulah Baptist
Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Sayers officiating.

Mrs. Dianne Elizabeth Harrell, age 60 of Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her residence.
She is survived by her children, Jeremy Harrell of Raleigh, NC, and Elizabeth Harrell of Shelby, NC, a granddaughter, Emma Ledford, a brother, Rev. Michael Conn (Kirsten) of Eden, NC, and three sisters, Vicky Thrift (Steve) of Reidsville, NC, Judy Clary (Kenneth) of Kings Mountain, NC, and Debbie Slaughter (Jon) of Eden, NC.
Born September 24, 1957 in Roanoke, VA, Dianne is the daughter of Delphine Elizabeth Parks Conn and the late Rev. Gerald Eugene Conn.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, June 1, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Michael Conn.
