Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church
Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 235 A.W. Black Street, Waco, NC, will be holding their annual "Asha Degree Walk", Saturday, February 6, 2016, 3:00pm. Meet at The Degree's home at 3404 Oakcrest Drive, Shelby, NC. The distance of the walk is 1.3 miles. You can walk or drive the distance.
Corinth Baptist Church
Corinth Baptist Church in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina will have a Food Distribution Saturday, February 6, 2016, 9:00am - 12:00 noon. The Clothing Room is also open during this time. Corinth Baptist Church is located at 324 Corinth Church Road in Casar, NC. The distribution will be in the basement of the new fellowship building. Clothing and food distributions will be the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. Everyone welcome.
El Bethel UMC, Kings Mountain
El Bethel UMC in Kings Mountain will have their regular country breakfast on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 6:30am til10:00am. The speaker for February 16, 2016 is Susan Carlisle Bell, a mother, grandmother and artist. She has been professor of art at Gardner-Webb University for 30 years and also holds a masters in Christian Education. Susan has enjoyed the privilege of teaching a monthly non-denomination Bible study for 25 years and taught Sunday school classes for youth and women as well.
