Donald Lee Mayhew

Donald Lee Mayhew, 73, of 526 Jess Hord Road, Cherryville passed away,
Monday, October 2, 2017 at his residence.

Born February 13, 1944 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late
Benjamin Ira Mayhew and Girtle Lorene Wood Mayhew. He was retired from Doran
Textiles and Four Leaf Textiles, was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and
loved gardening.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda
Fowler Mayhew; brother, Jack Mayhew and sister, Carolyn McSwain.

Survivors include two sons, Tim Mayhew and wife, Annette of Lincolnton and
Donnie Mayhew and wife, Shannon of Polkville; daughter, Lisa Mayhew Harrill
and husband, Franklin of Lattimore; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Mary
Mayhew of Lattimore; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Tommy Erby
of Cherryville and Kathy and David VanBuren of Shelby; grandchildren,
Brandon Mayhew and Ashley Hollingsworth of Cherryville; Shannon Williams and
Lindsey Sigmon of Lincolnton; B.J. Mayhew, Aaron Mayhew and Kari Mayhew of
Waco, Corey Smith, Storm Smith and Marina Smith of Polkville and Frankie
Harrill and Seth Harrill of Lattimore; great-grandchildren, Bryson Sigmon,
Jackson Mayhew, Bailey Cline, Conner Williams, London Mayhew, Noah
Hollingsworth Mason Hollingsworth, Levi Williams, and Paisley Morrow;
special friend, Judy Barrett; and beloved pet, Sally.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger
Funeral Home, Fallston.

A funeral service will be at Noon on Thursday at Buffalo Baptist Church with
the Revs Max Turner, Jr and Ernie Blanton officiating. The body will be
placed in the church thirty-minutes before the service.

Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston

Shelby, NC 28150
