What: Summer Reading is here, and this year's theme is Libraries Rock!

Monday, June 18: Music Trivia, program for adults (6-7 pm). Featuring popular music and Broadway tunes from the 1940s - present!
Tuesday, June 19: Go For the Gold, program for school aged children (1:30-2:30 pm). Participants will learn about the history of America's first gold rush, right here in North Carolina.
Thursday, June 21: Create Night, program for teens (1:30-2:30 pm). Teens will use iPads to create music, comic books, and learn about a variety of creative apps.

Programs for all ages through the end of July focusing on reading, music, science, and fun. There is no need to register to attend, and all events are free and open to the public! More Info: The parade will begin at 9 am and will feature floats, tractors, horses, antique cars, go-carts, and much more. At the conclusion of the parade, a patriotic program and bluegrass entertainment will be featured at the recreation park of Lattimore Baptist Church. Concessions and lunch will be sold by the Lattimore Baptist Youth Department to raise funds for youth projects. This year's entertainment will be provided by The Shady Oak Ramblers Bluegrass Band Entries are needed for the parade! Businesses, families, and individuals desiring to enter floats, cars, etc. in the parade should line up on Towery Road at 8:30 am.
