| Mr. Paul E. Peeler, 82, of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2011. A native of Cleveland County, Mr. Peeler retired from Firestone Mill and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church.
Paul had a very special passion for fresh water fishing and was one of the greatest fisherman
of Cleveland County, winning numerous contests throughout his life. Paul also was an avid gardener and received great pleasure each year by generously supplying family, friends and
those in need his produce from his perfect garden.
Paul truly enjoyed sharing conversations, stories and jokes with everyone. He was a man
who never met a stranger and it always made him happy to get a smile and laugh out of
someone. He loved people and touched many lives.
Mostly Paul loved his family and he loved his church. He was a true patriarch and freely
gave of himself and his time to care for others and their needs. He was faithful not only to
his family and friends but to his church with his consistent faith and dedication. His spirit
will always live inside of us.
