Shelby VFW presents $58K check for student programs

This is the fifth year that the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #4066 of Shelby presented a check to Cleveland County Schools' Exceptional Children programs. This year, the check totaled $58,000.
Students, teachers, veterans, and others gathered at Central Services for the presentation, where the VFW presented the check.
The VFW hosted its fifth annual Bill Lynn Memorial Golf Tournament on April 27, 2018, which was the major fundraiser for the donation.
Along with the tournament, other methods of fundraising included a Poker Run, a silent auction, yard sales, a concert featuring Dirty Grass Soul and several other events.
